In case you missed me, check out my video vault later this week to see my latest rants on the topic of the economy and what people should be doing with their money.  

MASTER MINDS OF BUSINESS 

Maybe you got an email blast about this from me.  If you didn’t get a chance to check it out yet, let me give you an idea what this program is about.  It is six experts in the field of Customer Service providing 15 minutes of training plus a 3 minute lesson every week for six months.  I know all of these people and can vouch for each one’s content.  I am one of the experts and I know my stuff is good!!  You get all of this for $29.95.  This is a cool program and worth the money for sure.   We are finding that people are using this program in a variety of ways.  Either for their personal use or managers/leaders are buying multiple copies so an entire remote sales force or management team can get one consistent bit of training at the same time.  They can then do a conference call for discussion or just have the confidence to know that their entire team got the same training.  There are many creative ways people are using the training and I am sure you can figure out even more.  If this group of people showed up at your office to do their bit for your people, the collective fee for this information would be well over $100,000.  Yep, I know what all these folks charge to show up and that is what it would be.   And while you only get a short lesson from each of us, you get to view it when it is convenient for you AND you get the weekly reminders and updates.  This first one is Customer Service but there will be more programs to follow - you will have new programs coming along soon on Sales, Money, Leadership and more.

The election is this week.  Go vote.  No excuses.  Just do it.  Vote for anyone you want to but take the time to voice your opinion by casting your vote. 

THE TRUTH BE TOLD 

Not only is it the name of my new Member’s Only Site but it is also the name of my brand new DVD/CD combo just released this week.  You get 90 minutes of me live on stage in front of an enthusiastic audience doing all my best stuff and about 45 minutes of all new stuff.  It’s a little pricier than my past DVDs I know, but this one contains both a 90 minute DVD PLUS a CD.

Also coming soon is another new DVD/CD combo called Larry: Unleashed, Unplugged and Out Of Control.  This was also recorded in front of a live audience when I shot the PBS special.  I have gotten off on rants before from the stage but this is all brand new stuff that you won’t want to miss.  I think this is the best stuff I have done from the stage.  I think I will bring it out next month so keep watching for it.

I am sick of listening to the politicians blow smoke up my skirt saying that Americans are the hardest working people on the planet.  They are simply pandering to our emotions and our sense of patriotism about what great people we are.  That’s a load of crap.  American workers are NOT the hardest working people on the planet.  Read a little.  Watch some educational television.   Travel some.  You will quickly find out that the American worker is about the laziest worker on the planet.  For the most part, workers do just enough to squeeze by.  Tell them that you have a problem with how little effort they put out and the crappy job they are doing and they will contact their union rep and file a grievance.  Yep, I am taking on labor unions too.  Originally, they were a great idea.  They were formed to protect the American worker from abuse.  But folks, this ain’t a hundred years ago.   Working conditions are not what they used to be.  Your rights aren’t being violated by expecting you to actually do what you were hired to do and are being paid to do.  Now labor unions exist not to make sure that workers are treated fairly and to stop abuse but to put the squeeze on companies for every dollar they can to the point that the company can no longer be profitable or compete globally.  Want to know why we ship so many jobs overseas?  One of the reasons is labor unions.  Highly skilled people, who are willing to work harder than people in our country are willing to work (and for less money, I know) and don’t belong to a union that has management by the short hairs. (Of course the situation is more complex than that but this is a rant, not a thesis.)  In few cases does America produce the highest quality product  and almost never is it done at the lowest price. 

Am I anti-American?  Some of you will read this and think so.  Nothing could be more wrong.  I am very PRO-American.  But I’m not so wild about what we have let happen to our great country.  GREED.  A lack of INTEGRITY.  LIES.  IMMORALITY.  Not the kind of immorality that the fundamentalists talk about.  I’m talking about the morality that is based in doing the RIGHT thing.  The thing that has nothing to do with religion or politics.  Instead, it’s the thing you know in your heart is right because it just IS.  You don’t have to ask, you don’t have to think about who will win and who will lose, you don’t have to wonder about the repercussions or consequences, you just KNOW it’s the right thing.  And because you know it is the right thing, you do it.  That is real morality.

For the rest, in fairness to my member’s you have to join.  Sorry if that doesn’t sit well with you but…………

And because I get such a kick out of these negative “reviews” of my books I have to share them.  Here are two reviews of my books that I found on Amazon this week. 

Larry “The Cable Guy” Wingnut is what’s wrong with America: an ignorant prole spreading uberklass idiotology. The favorable reviews here are as illiterate as Right-Winget is mindless. Susan Jacoby’s “The Age of American Unreason” is a book about such socio-pathic narcissists’ favorite subject: themselves. Too bad they can’t read. They’d find out what the rest of the world knows: pinheads like Winget and his ilk are prime examples of why Amerrycaca is, as Merle Haggard puts it, “rolling downhill like a snowball headed for hell.” The nation of Jefferson, Madison, Washington, Adams, and Franklin has become the nation of George Bush, Ronald Raygun, Al Sharpton, Jane Fonda, and Larry Winget. As such, it’s a nation that can no longer govern itself. Its only hope is to continue being governed more and more by multi-national corporations, which are increasingly run by other nations, none of whom are as incompetent as America, which is losing two wars at once because it can’t even beat a gang of camel jockeys.

Not much of a review of my BOOK …..  AND it’s racist but Amazon posted it anyway ……   Here is another one …………………….

Larry wastes the millions he gets from his books on tons of cowboy boots he doesn’t need. Nice way to set an example. He sells useless things like bobblehead dolls of himself on his website. Ask yourself: would a guy who really cared about helping you out of financial trouble sell you things you don’t need? If he’s so rich he can waste tons on silly cowboy boots, he’s the one laughing his way to the bank….with your hard earned money!

I thought this was supposed to be a self help book. Instead it’s a stand-up comedy piece with lots of in your face ranting and raving about experiences this guy had. He’s no expert, just an overconfident entertainer that wears funny clothes. If that’s why you buy his books, fine. Don’t expect to get actual answers and helpful advice.

Yep, I am what is wrong with America.  Me and Al Sharpton and Jane Fonda and Ronald Reagan and oh yeah, George Bush.  Actually, he is right about Bush!   This “review” is classic and cracks me up!!!!  I love it.  Oh yeah, BEWARE of my bobbleheads - they will cause you to go broke!!!!  By the way, sadly, I ran out.  People bought them and had to file bankruptcy because of it while I laughed my way to the bank with the $4 profit I made on each one of them.   And are my clothes really that funny?  

I am recording 12, yes TWELVE new video DVDs this week that will be available soon.  Stay tuned for details.  Also, next week I will be announcing the release of a brand new DVD we just released!

Mad - Angry - And then some + THE PROBLEM WITH AMERICANS.

Okay, the truth is that I am way beyond mad or angry.  I am totally pissed off.  You should be too.  They sold us a bill of goods.  They screwed us.  I knew it would happen.  I said on television that they could have me back on the anniversary of the bail out and I could say, “I told you so.”  They said that the  market would fall apart if we didn’t pass the bill.  The market is crap anyway.  It will get worse.  Yes, it will go back up but it’s still crap right now.  Now Bush is saying, “Give it some time.”  No kidding.  How convenient to say “give it time”  when we were told that it HAD to happen or the economy would collapse - remember, George?  Speed was the issue and now we are told to give it some time.  We were also told that this would help the regular guy.  That is a lie.  It will eventually help the regular guy . . . maybe . . . possibly . . . probably not.  They are saying that it has to “trickle down” first.  The regular guy doesn’t have time for it to trickle down.  The regular guy is hurting big time NOW.  Add to all of this crap, the $150B of pork - wooden arrows, American Samoa, the woolen industry, Hollywood, rum exporters, etc.  and one more time, they saddled us with PORK that was not needed or wanted.  Both sides did this one to us.  Not just Republicans or Democrats - they ALL screwed us.  Thanks guys, we appreciate it!  

Next.  I’m mad about the dirty politics.  Low blows - cheap shots.  Let’s talk about anything rather than what’s wrong with our country.    Facts?  Who needs them!  Questions in a debate where you agreed in advance to answer the questions?  Why answer them?  I’ll tell  you what I want you to know whether it’s what you asked or not.  April 8: “I promise I won’t involve myself in dirty campaigning because the American people don’t want to hear it.”  Oh well, I’m losing now so that doesn’t count any longer: here is my bucket of mud.  ”The fundamentals of the economy are strong.”  Oops, maybe not.  No problem, I’ll play the hero and solve this problem - in fact, I’ll take credit for getting the bailout passed.  Oops again - because it didn’t pass.  I’ll still vote for it with all the pork I say I won’t vote for and then I’ll say Bush ought to veto it.  Wait, tho I voted for it, the people don’t like it so I’ll say, “It’s time to turn the page on the economy and move on.”   Oops, that ain’t working for me either because people actually care about the economy, oh well, back to the mud-slinging.  ”Paling around with terrorists:”  And we all know you can’t spell PALING without Palin.  I find that insulting to the American people. We’re not THAT stupid.  Obama was eight years old.  They aren’t “pals.”  The Keating 5 - get the hell over it Democrats - it was twenty years ago and McCain was found innocent of any wrong doing.   The American people want answers to their issues.  Can you imagine that?  People are losing their jobs.  They either don’t have healthcare or can’t afford it.  Gasoline?  Holy crap! Cut the subsidies and tell the friggin’ oil companies to kiss our collective asses and lower the price so people can pay their mortgages!  I am all for free enterprise but billions in quarterly profits when our tax dollars help subsidize you is rape!  The oil companies should be ashamed of themselves!   Foreclosures are at 9% and still rising.  Yes, it’s primarily their own fault but something has to be done somewhere.  Lock down interest rates at a fixed rate for thirty years like they should have been to begin with.  Stop the ARMs from happening to give people some breathing room.  Put a moratorium on foreclosures for 90 days to help people have a chance to gather up some money and try to fix their situation.  Is this a cure?  No, one more time, none of what I am talking about here is anyting but a band-aid  but it’s a band-aid that directly effects the American people.   And it is the American people who need to get pissed off about the crap that is going on.  Where are the protests?  Where is the indignation?  Joe Six-Pack can’t even afford a damn six pack any more and yet few are being as vocal as they should be.  And typically, only about 40 % of Americans are even going to vote!  

The problem with Americans from Wall Street to Main Street, from the break room to the board room, from bad loans, to bad customer service, to bad politics to bad business is a lack of integrity.  People either have forgotten or don’t care any longer about what’s right and what’s wrong.

Americans arrogantly say they want honesty and integrity from their government officials, yet 20% of them cheat on their taxes.  Hypocritical?  You think?  People lie.  Politicians lie and we re-elect them.  Millions of Americans lied about how much money they made so they could qualify for a house they knew they couldn’t afford.  Now they don’t have the money to make the payments.  What is the REAL problem?  It’s not the money, or the predatory lenders or the economy,  it’s the lie that got them in trouble.   They are now paying the price for their LIE.  Clinton got impeached.  Why?  Was it because he had sex in the Oval Office?  No, it’s because he lied about the sex.  Bush’s approval rating is the lowest of any president in history?  Why?  A lack of trust.  People don’t believe him.  But why should we?  He lied to us.

When a guy says he will be there at noon and at 3PM you haven’t heard from him, he is a liar.  When your daughter says she will be home from her date at 10PM and she isn’t, sorry, but your little princess just lied to you.  When people say one thing and do another, they are lying.    In each instance, it is a lack of integrity.

I watched a woman on The Today Show this morning talking about her latest book about telling the truth in various situations and when asked about why people lie, she said, “Lying is such an ugly word, let’s call it editing the truth.”  What a load of happy horseshit.  Editing the truth?  Are you kidding me?  Let’s not call it what it is and then we won’t hurt anyone’s feelings.  Let’s put the lipstick on the pig one more time!  Let’s dress it up and make it look pretty instead of calling it what it really is.  And that’s the problem.  When you don’t confront people with their lies, the result is they don’t think they have done anything wrong.  Unless, you call them a liar for lying, they might not think they have actually lied - they might just think they edited the truth.  Bottom line:   We have a nation of people who either don’t know they are doing wrong or they don’t care.  Either way, they lack integrity.  I am going to save the rest of this rant for The Truth Be Told site because I am really getting fired up on this one and there isn’t room here.  Thanks for reading…………………
